Sally the Zombie Cheerleader Strikes Again!

30 March, 2012. Strongsville, Ohio
Sally the Zombie Cheerleader will be attending Cinema Wasteland at Strongsville, Ohio's Holiday Inn Express. Here, she will be introducing her newest literary venture, The Memoirs of Doctor Creep. Actually, she didn't write this e-book at all. She recorded Barry Hobart and transcribed the tapes. Why? Well, here's what Sally has to say on the subject:
Barry Hobart was a broadcasting legend around Dayton, Ohio. He invented the character of Doctor Creep who charmed the audiences of children’s television and horror shows for more than twenty years. He used his popularity to run a charity that gave poor families food and gifts at Christmas. And for the last decade of his life, until his death in January 2011, I am proud to say that called me a friend.
The one thing everybody who knew Barry would tell you is that he loved to tell stories. And they were great stories. And once he got started, nobody could stop him. He was hustled off stage many times at Wasteland because if somebody didn’t do it, you’d be listening to him all weekend! So I started my digital voice recorder running and asked him about his career, his character…and anything else he wanted to talk about.
Barry’s stories deserve to be heard again and again, so here’s a transcription of the tales he told me that day in 2010. Yes, he really did cover all this ground in a single day. That’s how Barry was and that’s why we all miss him.

The Memoirs of Doctor Creep will be on sale this weekend in Kindle format from Amazon.com. List price: $2.99.
